AUGUSTA – The recount for marijuana legalization is currently underway in Augusta.
The process began Monday and they’re looking to count about 25,000 ballots a day.
Secretary of State Matthew Dunlap said that the “No on One” campaign has had trouble finding volunteers for the count, but as of now it’s right on schedule.
Officials expect it to be completed in six weeks if they decide to count ballots from every community that voted …
Secretary Dunlap said “They’re not seeing a lot of change in the recount, its looking like the same results as the election. We’re trying to keep things broken out by precinct.”
Dunlap said the only delays for the recount could be the upcoming holidays or a submitted citizens initiative.
