WATERVILLE – Tomorrow will mark the 5 year anniversary since the last sighting of Ayla Reynolds.
Reynolds disappeared from a home in Waterville years ago.
State police believe she was the victim of foul play while in custody of her father Justin Depietro.
Her mother’s family said they will soon file court papers to have Ayla declared legally dead, preserving their rights in any civil litigation against Depietro.
The family had planned to file a wrongful death lawsuit, but put it on hold because of the difficulty to prove without more credible witnesses.
Police and family members hope anyone with helpful information will come forward.
