AUGUSTA – Two men arrested in Augusta are accused of selling crack cocaine in the area.
The Kennebec County Sheriff’s Department arrested Javonne Davis, 23 and Marcus Mclaughlin, 22, on Wednesday after stopping their vehicle on Western Avenue.
A police dog found 100 grams of cocaine along with a small amount of marijuana after a search of the car. The department said it’s been investigating drug deals in the Augusta area. The trail pointed to both men.
We are told the two are from New York and New Jersey.
Both suspects are charged with aggravated drug trafficking and possession of crack.
