BANGOR – Many people are gearing up to travel this holiday season.
The Transportation Security Administration is doing their part to make it easier for people to take to the skies. They have increased their staff, deployed additional canine teams and put more resources in the nations busiest airports.
TSA officials said there are some things travelers can keep in mind to get through security faster and easier.
Pam Dobbins, TSA said “No knives of any size are allowed . We also find that the multi- use tool, they think the multi use tool is an acceptable item to come through the checkpoint.those items clearly can go but they have to be checked underneath the aircraft.”
TSA officials said the best plan is still to arrive early to allow time to get through security so you don’t miss a flight.
Officials said to make sure you have a valid id and boarding pass .
The TSA expects to screen more than 100 million travelers over the holidays.
