BANGOR – A popular camp at the Challenger Learning Center is coming back with even more action.
The Afterschool Lego Club is giving kids a way to engage with Lego’s in a different way then at home.
The group gets together every Wednesday for four weeks, where kids are able to work with Lego programming on two separate scenes, a soccer tournament as well as a sailboat, the week also consists of group building, as well as other fun activities.
Education Director Jennifer Therrien said “They go onto a computer and plug it in and they program it. For the soccer player, the soccer player can kick. If its a crocodile or a sailboat it can move around and they can program sounds and images to go with it. So it’s a little introduction to computer program mixed into something their very familiar with, with the Lego concept.”
