BANGOR – They are often seen them in the community in Pickering Square feeding the homeless and providing Thanksgiving supper.
City Reach Church now has a new a way of helping people through its new food pantry.
This is just one of the outreaches the church holds for members in the community. They are providing people with warm clothing, food and other necessities to get them through the winter.
One of the church’s main ministry is helping people who are facing income issues and addictions. Volunteer Shelly Adams said “City Reach, all of its endeavors are geared towards our hope homes, our men’s and women’s recovery homes. Heroin today is so cheap and available, it’s epidemic, it’s literally killing people daily.”
The pantry will be open from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. every Thursday.
Those that want to contribute to their cause can contact the church.
