HANCOCK COUNTY – Power has been restored to a majority of Hancock County, after high winds and freezing rain brought concern for Emera customers Tuesday.
More than 1,500 people were left in the dark throughout the region.
The ice combined with the high winds made it difficult for power lines and trees to stay upright.
Emera crews were out in full force trying to get Hancock county and a few other parts of the state back on-line.
This morning only a few residents are without power in the Machias region.
