GREENVILLE – A new project helping you find your way in the Moosehead Region is underway.
Right now, phase one of the Mooshead Lake Wayfinding project has been completed.
The purpose is to help visitors find their way to public attractions, by putting noticeable signs in helpful spots around the area. The project also aims to reduce the clutter of existing signs over time.
Members of the wayfinding committee say the new project has been received well in the community.
Ryan Edmondson of the Brand Leadreship Team said “Everything so far has been very enthusiastic and it’s really exciting to see … We’ve done a lot of driving around, trying to locate key point so confusion to help visitors find their way.”
Phase 1 covered the southern portion of Moosehead Lake.
The group also looks forward to putting in new kiosks with maps for the area.
