HERMON-A man from Hermon is facing drug charges following the discovery of an alleged meth bust.
Penobscot County Sheriff Deputies made the discovery last night after being asked to check on the well being of three children living in a home on New Boston Road.
The alleged lab was found in a room in the basement which is where 28 year old Franklin Avery had been living.
The home was secured overnight and Maine Drug Agents moved in today to remove meth related materials.
Avery is now charged with aggravated operation of a meth lab.
This is the sixth meth related response this year by the Maine D-E-A.
There was a record 125 meth busts last year.
