BELFAST-A woman accused of causing the death of her infant son has been indicted by a Waldo County Grand Jury.
32 year old Miranda Hopkins of Troy was arrested last month after calling rescuers to report she awoke to discover her baby was cold and unresponsive.
It was later determined the child died from blunt force head injuries.
Hopkins told police she thought her other children had injured the child, but later admitted she blacked out after drinking whiskey and didn’t know what happened.
Hopkins was originally charged with murder, but is now indicted on the lesser charge of manslaughter.
