BANGOR – Camping season is on the way and as of yesterday, reservations were open for all state parks.
Last year, Maine State Parks brought in close to 3 million visitors and that number seems to only be increasing.
Regional Manager Mike Leighton said “We offer them the particular site, we have families that come year after year, and want that one site. That’s when their neighbor come or sometimes that’s when they see those particular people, when they are camping with each other.”
If you don’t make reservations this year, they have first come, first served walk-in locations.
