AUGUSTA – Testimony will continue today in the trial of a former youth pastor from Canaan. He’s accused of sexually abusing a young girl.
Lucas Savage, 27, is charged with unlawful sexual contact of a minor under the age of 12.
In court Tuesday the alleged victim took the stand saying that her mother would often bring her to Savage’s home in Clinton where she would sometimes spend the night.
She said Savage would ask her to kiss him when they were alone and touched her inappropriately on multiple occasions.
Savage has denied the allegations and the defense argued that the alleged victim has been known to make up stories.
Savage was the co-director of the Youth Haven Ministry at the Canaan Calvary church until he was arrested in March of 2016.
