AUGUSTA – Some lucky kids got the chance of a lifetime at the Viles Arboretum. They took a ride they will never forget.
Kids are out of school for February break and what better way to celebrate and enjoy the day than on a sled ride.
“With lots of noise, dogs pulling – taking them on a tour on one of our favorite trails – the art trail,” said Mark DesMeules, the executive director of the Viles Arboretum.
Family and kids waited in lines for their chance to feel like an Alaskan Dog Racer. Those coming off of the sled ride were left in awe. During the ride, people were able to enjoy the various botanical collections from all over the world.
“Nature is soothing and such a great way to interact with friends and family and get away from all of these taxing stuff that draws your attention like electronics,” said DesMeules.
