BANGOR – The Challenger Learning Center vacation camp wrapped up tFriday.
And the week went out with a bang, as they teamed up with the Anah Shriners to celebrate the circus.
The kids used Legos and their imaginations to create various aspects of circus life, from rides, to entertainment, to clowns.
Executive Director Susan Jonason stated “And as a special guest today we invited one of the Shriner clowns to come join us and he has shown the kids everything it takes to be a clown. How they put on their makeup, what they do, and how they learn what they do. Its just incredible.”
“Scooter the Clown” talked to the kids about why he became a clown, he was a Shriner kid himself. Having spent many years at a Shriner hospital he felt this was the best way to give back.
The campers even had a chance to be clowns themselves.
And if you missed it, The Challenger Learning Center will be hosting another vacation camp this April.
