WASHINGTON D.C. – Maine Governor Paul LePage was on “FOX and Friends” on the FOX News channel this morning.
The governor was in Washington this weekend for the Conservative Political Action Conference on Friday and the Governors Ball at the White House last night.
On “FOX and Friends” this morning, the governor spoke about healthcare reform, welfare reform and immigration.
Governor LePage also expressed his concern over medicare. He said “Well, I’m a little bit concerned that they’re not going to touch medicare. I think what they should be doing for medicare is return the $800 billion that they stole to put into Obamacare. And I really do believe that it was stealing from the American people. The American people have been paying into this program and Obamacare went in and took $800 billion out to make his program work and I just don’t think that s appropriate. I think they should at least return that money.”
The FOX News hosts also mentioned Maine’s treasury cash pool of a billion dollars for the first time in state history to which the LePage said “I don’t spend much.”
