NORTHERN MAINE – Wet and icy conditions caused two separate rollover accidents just minutes apart in Northern Maine.
Just before 7 a.m. Wednesday Marie Boucher, 38, was driving on the Ouellette Road in Cross Lake Township when she hit a patch of black ice. Boucher lost control of her vehicle and went of the road, rolling the car before stopping on a snow bank. Thankfully she was not hurt.
Minutes later, police responded to another rollover on New Sweden Road in T16 R4. That’s where Barbara Kelly, 62, lost traction on the road while driving up a hill. Her car skidded before hitting a snow bank causing the vehicle to roll. She was also not hurt in the accident.
Police said road conditions in both rollovers were icy and wet.
