LISBON FALLS – New life for an old landmark in Lisbon Falls.
After being vacant for more than a year, Tony and Traci Austin said they want to turn the old Moxie building into a family-friendly pub.
The old Kennebec Fruit Company building at Main Street and Route 196 is more than 100 years old and for decades has been been ground zero for the Annual Moxie Festival.
The new owners said they’ve already picked a pub name: “Frank’s”, after the iconic longtime owner of the building, Frank Anicetti.
Tracy Austin said “So this is a brand new adventure not only for us, but we are from Lisbon, we have pride in Lisbon and we figure we can give it the old college try.”
The Austins said they want to have the place open by July just in time for this summer’s Moxie Festival.
