AUGUSTA – The full legislature approving the governor’s supplemental budget on Thursday.
Lawmakers left Governor LePage’s requests alone, but did add several million dollars worth of funding. Much of that money increased drug addiction treatment.
The nearly 80 million dollar spending plan fills holes in the budget through the end of the fiscal year, which ends June 30th.
Senate President Mike Thibodeau, R-Winterport, said “Hey look, in this place, anytime you get success you’re happy. So, you know, we’re happy that we got a supplemental budget passed. We found common ground that was needed and that bodes well for us getting the budget itself done.”
The budget now heads to the governor’s office for his signature.
