ARUNDEL – The search for a missing woman in Arundel has come to an end.
The body of Sue Cotia, 65, was located this morning about 375 yards from her home on campground road.
Authorities had been searching for her since Wednesday when family members went to the home to check on she and her husband. That’s when they found the body of her husband in the kitchen and Mrs. Coita was nowhere to be found.
An autopsy has been conducted on the body of Matthew Coita, 63, but the results have not been released.
Game wardens resumed the search for Mrs. Coita Friday around 7:00 a.m. with help from 14 search dogs.
Maine State Police are now documenting the scene and gathering evidence and say an autopsy will also be conducted on Mrs. Coita.
A case police have classified as suspicious.
