SKOWHEGAN – He has become known as the “Silent Bandit” and police hope you’ll help bring him to justice.
The FBI has announced a $5,000 reward is being offered for information that leads to the mans arrest. The robber is wanted for four bank robberies since 2012 in Skowhegan, Waterville and Pittsfield.
In each of the cases the man held a note to a teller, demanding cash and threatening violence.
The “Silent Bandit” never said a word and never showed a weapon and simply walked away calmly after each robbery.
The man is believed to be between 55 and 65 years of age. He’s between 5’6″ and 5’10” tall and is heavy set. He wears gloves, a long, dark, hooded, ran parka and facial coverings. In some of the robberies, he has also worn a “mad bomber” style hat.
