BANGOR- While most of us don’t have to worry about the storm quite yet, Emera Maine employees are busy getting prepared.
We are told extra crews will be in the Eastern Maine/Bangor area and the Down East/coastal area getting ready to brave the elements.
Communications specialist Judy Long says that they are preparing for the worst, but hoping for the best.
Staff continues to have meetings to update the forecast and make sure that crews are stationed in areas set to be hit the hardest.
“We’re also hopeful that this storm is like the last one, in that it’s a light fluffy snow that won’t weigh on the power lines and branches. However, we urge people to be prepared regardless of the anticipated impacts,” said Long.
They urge people to get their generators ready and prepare to lose power just in case.
If you do lose power, you are asked to contact the Emera Customer Care center.
