BANGOR – Local teams in Bangor met Saturday in hopes to raise awareness for homelessness, through dodge ball believe it or not.
Fusion:Bangor held their first ever “Dodge For A Cause” charity event Saturday at Fields4Kids in Bangor, with all donations going directly to the Shaw House and the Shepherd’s Godparent Home of Bangor.
Kate Hills and Ethan Evans are Sports Committee Chairs of Fusion:Bangor.
Evans said, “You know, the goal for Fusion in general this year is to give back to homelessness and we just naturally thought that dodge ball always has a great turnout. People love it this time of year. We just got a lot going on with it.”
“Anybody can play, which is why it’s such a great event,” added Hills.
With such a good turnout and generous support from sponsors including Bangor Braces, the Cross Insurance Center, and Darling’s, Fusion:Bangor is hoping to have this tourney for many years to come.
