BANGOR – Narraguagus High School will be transformed into a wrestling arena for a great cause.
Called “A Fight in the Dome,” the event is being held to raise money for two young people who are both battling serious illnesses.
Chad Perry is a senior at the high school and is currently fighting a form of bone cancer. Meanwhile Victoria Young is coping with an awful neurological disorder and is now confined to a wheelchair.
The wrestling match being held this Saturday will help raise money to cover some of their expenses.
Organizer Eric Johnson said “There are a lot of things to help, but they don’t always make ends meet like they should. Especially now that people in the community are coming to help him, it makes them feel they’re important too. It’s a very great thing and I’m happy to be a part of it.”
The “Fight in the Dome” is being organized by Global Independent Wrestling and the Ryan Michael Colson Care Organization.
It all gets underway this Saturday at 6:00 p.m. at Narraguagus High School in Harrington. General admission is just $10 dollars and tickets can be purchased at the door.
More information can be found at the “Fight in the Dome” page on Facebook.
