BANGOR – A man was rushed to the hospital following a grizzly crash in Bangor.
It was around 12:30 p.m. Tuesday when the call for help came in.
Witnesses said a young man driving a Jeep on Interstate 395 suddenly drifted off the right side of the road. He ended up striking the end of a guardrail before hitting a light post and rolling the vehicle.
Several people saw the crash and pulled over to help the man until rescuers arrived.
He was initially unconscious, but was communicating with rescuers as he was led to a waiting ambulance.
Maine State Police are now investigating the crash and trying to determine what caused the man to go off the road.
