BAR HARBOR – With tourism season around the corner, the Town of Bar Harbor is looking to employ hundreds of people.
The Chamber of Commerce is hosting a job fair which will allow potential employees to meet business owners face to face.
This is a way to push locals into getting some of the available positions. With visas for foreign workers becoming more complex, business owners are in need of employees.
The event is on April 29th starting at 10 a.m. in the town’s municipal building.
Coordinator Kelly Pairoos said “It’s going to be bustling this summer with tourism expected to be higher, more and more hotels are expected sold out for different weekends in the season, so it’s going to be an exciting weekend in 2017 for Bar Harbor.”
Jobs range from tourism, hospitality, to working in restaurants.
Prospective employees will have the opportunity to fill out job applications and have job interviews on the spot.
