CANTON (WGME) – A unique pair in Central Maine is providing hours of entertainment.
There’s plenty of nature to be found, on 18 acres of land.
Sally Bryant gets a front row seat. She said “This winter we mostly had a lot of chicadees.”
Bryant added “We’ve had some cardinals and juncos, finches.”
But one bird, is easier to find than the others.
Bryant stated “That bird has an attitude, yes it does…bird has an attitude.”
That bird is “The Bird” as Bryant named him, a partridge who comes to play, every day. And has found an unlikely playmate in a puppy.
The partridge and the puppy, Gracie, put on quite the show.
Bryant said “It’s like a brother and sister, sometimes they get along and sometimes they don’t.”
It’s been like that from the beginning. Bryant stated “I have a picture of her in her little bandana around her neck, sitting there in front of the bird, just a little puppy, and there she is with this bird.”
Seven-month-old Gracie and the bird have been friends for five months now,
Bryant stated the bird comes to the window nearly every morning, waiting for food and his friend.
The Bryants provide both Gracie and the bird provide hours and hours of entertainment.
Bryant said “Every day, even now in the evening they’ll play an hour and a half, two hours in the evening.”
Bryant said the bird has always been comfortable with people, since it first came around last summer.
