Crooks using your personal information to steal your money. Tomorrow will bring a great opportunity to get rid of old documents to help protect your information.
AARP of Maine is teaming up with the Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office at the Airport Mall in Bangor.
They’ll shred your old documents and will also take your unwanted medications to keep them off the streets.
Japhet Els, organizer, said “So you can bring your paper and pills because we’re going to be taking care of those with the sheriff’s office of Penobscot County. Any and all of your unwanted medications. So bring your paper and pills and we’ll make sure they’re disposed of properly right on the site.”
The shredding event is free of charge and will take place Friday from 7:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the Airport Mall. Medications will also be collected from 7:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.
