FRANKFORT-Investigators are trying to figure out what caused a deadly crash Monday afternoon in Frankfort.
A woman was killed and a man was injured after a small car was rear-ended by a box truck on Route 1-A. .
It appears the woman had stopped to make a turn when the truck struck her from behind.
Rescuers rushed to the scene, but there was little they could do to help the woman.
The driver of the truck was helped from his truck and brought to a hospital for treatment.
Now investigators will take a look at the truck and other evidence to try to figure out what caused the deadly crash.
Police haven’t released any information on the victims other than the woman was born in the 1980’s and the truck driver was born in the 60″s.
The busy road was expected to remain closed until investigators wrapped up their work at the scene.
