AUGUSTA-The conviction will stand for a man convicted in the stabbing death of his girlfriend.
Attorney’s for Justin Pillsbury argued before the Maine Supreme Judicial Court he deserves a new trial, claiming statements made by the prosecutor during his original trial were improper.
The high court disagrees and shot down the appeal.
Pillsbury is serving a 50 year sentence for murdering 24 year old Jillian Jones of Augusta during a jealous rage.
She was stabbed to death in their apartment in November2013.
