BANGOR – A woman who gave her time to help others gets some help of her own.
Peg, a worker at the Davis Road Child Development Center in Bangor, was recently diagnosed with lung cancer that was quickly spreading through the rest of her body.
The Development Center crew, as well as family and friends, teamed up to create a Dr. Seuss themed supper and auction to benefit peg and help her fight cancer.
The dinner took place Saturday at the Bangor Housing Community Center, the dinner also included fun activities and a bake sale all to help Peg.
Organizer Trudy Bacon said “The amount of work that went into this, the local donations and businesses that took place in this were amazing, and the employees here at Penquis were just unbelievable so it was a real team effort and they did a wonderful job.”
There was a very good turnout for the fundraiser and we hope that with the money raised, Peg is successful in her fight against cancer.
