BUCKSPORT – A local Eagle Scout went out of his way to help the community. Now, he’s getting recognized for his good work.
Nicholas Prins is an Eagle Scout attending Bucksport High School, who helped his town by building a raised flower bed in front of the Bucksport Middle School last year.
This past weekend, he was honored for his work in the community by earning the “Eagle Court of Honor.” The highest honor that can be bestowed upon a scout.
Boy Scout leaders from all across Maine attended the ceremony to honor Nick for all of his hard work.
Gabe LeClair a senior patrol leader said “He keeps his promises. Honesty is a part of his code of conduct. People can depend on him. Nick has a bunch of responsibilities and fulfills them to the best of his abilities and everyone can count on him to fulfill the job.”
Nicholas earned 13 merit badges since he joined the Boy Scouts of America in September of 2006.
Congratulations Nick, you’ve earned it.
