WATERVILLE – A Maine Court has declared Ayla Reynolds is dead.
She’s the toddler who disappeared from a Waterville home in December of 2011, sparking an investigation that remains open today.
The little girl had been staying with her father, Justin Dipietro and others when she vanished.
State police believe foul play was involved, but no arrests have been made and Ayla remains missing.
By declaring her dead, Ayla’s family members will now be able to file a wrongful death lawsuit against Dipietro. They believe he is responsible, although Dipietro has maintained his innocence from the start.
