BELFAST – A new farmers market is giving shoppers a location to purchase produce and it helps the local economy as well.
The United Farmers Market of Maine opened last Saturday on Spring Street in Belfast. It will be open every Saturday from 9 a.m., To 1 p.m.
The market prides itself on being able to provide shoppers with a place to “break bread.”
Founder Paul Naron said “This is a place where you can do this, where you can sit down. These tables are all communal tables, they encourage people to sit down with their friends or make new friends even.”
If you want to become a vendor, contact the market for more information.
