BANGOR-A man suspected of killing a man in Bangor was returned to Maine today to face charges.
40 year old Antoinne Bethea is now in the Penobscot County Jail waiting for his first court appearance.
Authorities say Bethea was visiting from Connecticut on Easter Sunday when he got into an altercation with a man outside a home on Ohio street.
It turned physical and police say Bethea ended up shooting 36 year old Terrance Durel Sr.
He died and Bethea fled from the state only to be captured during a traffic stop in Ohio.
Bangor police detectives escorted him back to Maine and arrived at the jail this afternoon.
When asked by a reporter if he had anything to say, he responded by saying “not guilty”.
He’s expected to appear before a judge sometime tomorrow or Friday.
