RAYMOND-The Warden Service dive team has recovered the body of an apparent drowning victim in Raymond.
52 year old Christopher Hughes of Connecticut had been staying at a camp with other construction workers while working on a project in New Hampshire.
He went canoeing on panther pond around around 10:00 last night while another worker paddled in a kayak.
At some point, the friend heard Hughes calling for help and went to look for him.
He couldn’t be found and authorities were called for help.
Hughes overturned canoe was eventually located and around 9:00 this morning a Warden Dive Team found his body about 200 feet from shore in about 16 feet of water.
Officials say he was not wearing a life jacket.
