AUGUSTA – The Maine House has overruled Governor LePage’s veto of a nip deposit bill.
The Maine House voted Tuesday morning to override his veto by a 114 to 31 vote.
The measure seeks to make the small bottles of liquor returnable, to try and prevent people from littering.
LePage doesn’t like the idea, He thinks it will be too costly to implement and enforce.
The bill now heads to the senate for a vote.
