BAR HARBOR – Acadia National Park is making some improvements this summer. While the process may be an eye sore for now, the results will be noticeably beautiful.
Thanks entirely to park pass sales, one of the park’s iconic gardens is getting a new irrigation system.
Rangers and Acadia’s “Wild Gardens Committee” agree the simple improvement goes a long way.
The park is digging a new well to accommodate the watering system and say visitors may notice some noise and roped of areas until it’s complete.
But park officials say the results will be well worth it.
