PITTSFIELD – The Town of Pittsfield will be doing a project that requires shutting off the water to several streets on Monday. Residents will have to boil their water before they consume it.
Crews will be working on Detroit, Lincoln, Leonard, Davis, Washington and Cottage Streets as well Hunnewell Avenue, Mill Court and North Main Street from Detroit Street to the Madawaska Avenue intersection.
When water is restored residents will be required to boil water for at least 5 minutes before drinking it, making ice cubes, washing foods, brushing teeth or any other activity involving the consumption of water.
Anyone with questions should contact Pittsfield Water Works.
