MILBRIDGE – The Coast Guard suspended the search off the Coast of Maine for a man who fell from a kayak Wednesday morning.
And then, less then two hours later, around 9:30 a.m. Thursday it was announced that the man had been found.
Officials haven’t released the man’s name but they say he is alive and well.
The Coast Guard had been searching since just after 10 a.m. Wednesday after receiving a broken radio transmission.
Officials believe the man fell out of his kayak near Bois Bubert Island, off the coast of Milbridge and Steuben and near the Petit Manan National Wildlife Refuge.
They searched more than 450 square miles.
