BANGOR – Bangor Parks and Recreation will be opening their pools on Saturday.
This week it’s all about getting ready. Lifeguards are undergoing training so they will be ready for the vigorous summer schedule.
Bangor Parks and Recreation Assistant Director Debbie Gendreau said “If the weather is really bad, thunder and lightening and major rainstorms we’ll be closed but besides that we are pretty much open until the end of the summer when the lifeguards start going back to college and back to school.”
Both the Beth Pancoe Aquatic Center and the Dakin Pool are open 7 days a week. They’re offering swimming lessons for children as well as programs for adults.
