BANGOR – This is pride week in the City of Bangor. The celebration includes multiple events happening every day.
It culminates with a parade and festival on saturday.
Organizer Maggie Campbell said “Last year there were over a thousand people there. If the weather co-operates we’re hoping to have even more this year. It’s growing every year.”
“I’m very proud to be part of this week and to have coespace host some of these events. I think bangor is a very accepting and diverse community.” added business owner Gibran Graham.
The parade steps off at 10 a.m. on Main Street on Saturday.
The festival is from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Westmarket and Pickering Squares.
There are two new events this year. There is a youth dance at 58 Main and a chemical free dance for adults at the Bangor Area Recovery Network. Both are saturday night.
