AUGUSTA – An Augusta man faces charges after he allegedly threw bed bugs on a clerk’s counter at city hall.
Police say Charles Manning, 74, is charged with misdemeanor assault and obstructing government administration.
Police said Manning went into the general assistance office in city hall and dumped the bugs on the counter.
The city manager stated Manning claimed he was fed up with having to deal with bed bugs and that he said he wanted government workers to experience what he had been dealing with.
Manning is scheduled to be arraigned August 7th.
