BLUE HILL – A moratorium on retail marijuana businesses will be extended in Blue Hill.
Residents there passed the measure by a vote of 15 to seven at a special town meeting town meeting. Voters had passed a six month moratorium at the annual town meeting in April but that moratorium was retroactive to January first. The new moratorium is an extension.
Recreational marijuana was approved by Maine voters last November. The state will begin issuing retail marijuana licenses in February 2018.
