BANGOR – A longstanding eatery in Bangor is doing its part to fight multiple sclerosis.
Every Monday in July, Geaghan’s Pub is hosting “guest bartender” nights, and inviting a special member of the public to work the room and raise money to fight the debilitating disease.
Last week, they raised $865, and folks were eager to try to top it.
“It’s a great program. I think all of us know someone who’s been touched by multiple sclerosis,” said Rich Kimball, July 10th’s guest bartender. “I love the people here at Geaghan’s. To me it seemed like a great combination to help out and do something for the community. These are wonderful people.”
In the three years of the event, over $6,500 has been raised, and the restaurant matches the first $1,000 collected.
