Washington is buzzing after it was revealed Donald Trump Jr. took a meeting with a Russian attorney last June.
That Russian allegedly said in that meeting she had damaging information about then-democratic-candidate Hillary Clinton.
Trump Jr. admitted to taking the meeting, but said the lawyer provided nothing substantial and he ended the conversation.
On Monday, Maine’s senior senator weighed in on the trump meeting.
While in a hallway Susan Collins told reporters, “Our intelligence committee needs to interview him and others who attended the meeting.”
Collins and fellow senator Angus King both sit on the Senate Intelligence Committee that’s already been looking into Russian interference in the election, and whether there are any improper ties between President Donald Trump and Russia.
Fox news has confirmed that a lawyer has been hired to represent Trump Jr. in connection with the Russia probes.
