CARMEL – A vacant house was destroyed by a fire in Carmel this morning.
The Carmel Fire Department was called to 399 Irish Road around 8:15 a.m.
Nobody was inside when the fire broke out and we’re told the home is up for sale.
Crews were on scene for hours putting out the flames.
The Carmel fire chief says most of the damage was on the second floor of the home.
“At this time, I don’t have much more information, there was nobody in the residence and it’s under investigation by the fire marshal’s office at this time,” says Chief Ryan Simpson of the Carmel Fire Department.
The Hermon Fire Department and the Levant Fire Department also responded on scene for mutual aid.
No cause has been determined yet.
