NATIONWIDE (ABC NEWS) – Could the artificial sweeteners in your diet soda or your coffee actually be causing you to gain weight? New research may provide the answer.
If you’re drinking coffee, tea or a soda right now, you may be drinking an artificial sweetener, too.
Aren’t we all watching our weight? Now a new study in the Canadian Medical Journal says we might be watching it rise.
They looked at more than 400,000 people who regularly used artificial sweeteners over the years and the news isn’t sweet. Those using sweeteners were more likely to gain weight, have high blood pressure, and possibly develop strokes.
Diet sodas and artificial sweeteners don’t lower your weight, your diet has to do that.
