SKOWHEGAN – A woman accused of mistreating and illegally selling pets in Skowhegan pleads guilty to theft.
Nicole Bizier, 32, appeared in court Wednesday and will spend the next 30 days in jail on one count of theft by deception. She will also serve two years of probation and pay nearly $5,000 in restitution.
Skowhegan police rescued eleven dogs from Bizier back in March after receiving multiple complaints from people who bought pets from her.
Authorities said she provided false vet reports and vaccine records under different names and was essentially running a puppy mill.
