MONROE – Congressman Bruce Poliquin will face more competition as he tried to hang onto his seat in Washington.
Jonathan Fulford of Monroe has become the third democrat to announce his candidacy.
Fulford is a carpenter and farmer who lost to Senate President Michael Thibideau in the race for Maine Senate. He’ll take on two other democrats who are also in the race, Timothy Rich and Philip Cleaves Jr.
Fulford said finding ways to provide affordable clean energy and resolving the healthcare crisis are among his top priorities. He and his supporters plan to hold a party tomorrow in auburn to kick off the campaign.
