CAMDEN – Over 900 cyclists met in Camden Sunday morning for the 16th Annual Maine Lobster Ride.
The riders could choose between four lengths: 15 miles, 38 miles, 62 miles, or 100 miles.
The event raises money for the Bicycle Coalition of Maine.
The organization says this is their biggest fundraising and “friend”-raising event of the year.
“The Bicycle Coalition of Maine has been working since 1992 to make Maine better and safer for biking and walking,” said Nancy Grant, the Executive Director of the Bicycle Coalition of Maine. “By riding this event, our riders are helping to support all the work we do.”
After the race, cyclists enjoyed a lobster roll lunch, live music and had the opportunity to test out different mountain bikes on the Camden Snow Bowl’s trails.
